Prime minister Ehud Olmert, defense minister Ehud Barak and chief of staff Lt. Gen. Gaby Ashkenazi decided at a special conference Friday evening, Nov. 14 to refrain from responding to the Palestinians’ 10-day missile blitz from Gaza. The ministers met after 6 Grad rockets hit Ashkelon and 11 missiles battered Sderot during the day. One of the 23 casualties was an 82-year old woman wounded by flying shrapnel in Sderot; the rest shock victims.
Why is Israel not responding?
Hamas will demand different conditions for any renewed ceasefire, regardless of whether the current six-month Hamas-Israel ceasefire will end as planned on December 19 or be terminated early as the result of rocket fire on Sderot.
I’am wondering how it is to live in Gaza and let’s not forget how it is to live in Sderot. Israel a western country in constant war.
Lets hope and pray that they find a way to renew the lull.

Why aren’t we responding?? Well for one – Hamas puts weapons/terrorists within civilian areas the way Hizbullah did in Southern Lebanon. When we hit a target civilians are also sometimes hurt/killed. But that’s the way they – Hamas – wants it – great propaganda for them.
